One minor disappointment.

This is a pretty nice piece. If I can be totally honest, I'm not sure I see what these other guys are so excited about, but that's not to say I didn't like it. I like it alright. The only thing that I would change is your actual piano itself. It sounds like crap. That's why you got my 8 stars. Get some better piano samples. That would make this piece sound so much prettier. PLEASE redo this piece with a better piano sound. Your composition is spot on, you just need to work with your sound. I've been using the piano in Reason 4 and haven't looked back. Nice piece.

I use FL and can't find better samples or soundfonts so... Which onse are good and free?

Whoa.

This is pretty epic. I'm digging the detuned shit right now, that's one cool melody. The drums sound pretty cool, but if you're looking to get closer to true DnB I would have turned them up a little. But then again, I'm no DnB expert. (just look at my music and that's obvious)

But the rest of it sounds amazing. That pad at the beginning is pretty spooky, I'm really liking that. Good job.

Rawrthaas responds:

Awwwwright. Thanks :>

Ahaha, I get it.

Not bad, not bad at all. The dizzying array of melodies don't seem to conflict with each other, nor do they compete for attention. They mix just right to give you that sense of urgency and pandemonium. It sets a nice mood for a boss scene.

theonlymagicalpig responds:

Thanks, I tried to mix the instruments right, I'm happy you like it!

Pretty solid stuff

This song sounds pretty epic, nicely done. It's nice and dynamic, and it's got some nice melodies in there. Your mixing sounds good too, seems like you really know what you're doing.

alertG responds:

cept i didnt xD for the melody maybe though

Amazing.

That was amazing as fuck. Bongos in DnB? Anyone who hadn't heard it first wouldn't have believed it. But it sounds amazing. The bass is cool too. Frlx. 5'd.

Aww I like this review <3

Thanks man =)

Pretty groovy...

I'm not really going to mark you down for sound quality at all, since I know from personal experience how hard it is to home record. The song itself? Power chords and a nice sounding little lead all with a pretty punk/grunge sound. I agree with that other guy, it sounds kinda Nirvana-esque. Especially your lead. But it wasn't too creative, at least not in my opinion. I found it a bit repetitive, and I cringed at the points where your lead comes in too early. But it takes practice, you'll get better. Work with syncing your tracks a bit. Overall, though, I liked it. It was crunchy and raw, and I like that. Keep it up.

KAMagicwarrior responds:

yeah, the quality does suck (live cpu mike and 15 watt amp...cause i cant use my stack in the house >.<). The riff was basic, hence the name...it wasnt meant to be flashy, just a way to check the recording method, which sounds ok at best, and to startup my account...(all that was just a flashy way of saying ive only been playing for a year). as for the solo coming in too early, i used my loop station for the rythym and if you listen well enough, you can hear that the loop is slightly off....there is a small blank space which threw me off at every repetition. as for syncing the track, like i said: live recording...so i couldn't fix that other than re-record it, and i diddn't feel like it....i think that i'll make another, better version of this later, but for now, thanx for the constructive criticizm

Pretty bitchin'.

I dig. The attack on that string in the background might be the only thing I would think about changing.

Earthbound-boy responds:

oh ok. thx for the review and high score

Hardcore.

That's some hardcore shit right there. Sounds nice and glitchy, which is awesome. Very nice for your first DnB.

Dj-UnKnOwN responds:

Yeah, that's why i named it internal Error, cause of it's glitchyness

Awesome.

This was a gorgeous piece. I always like piano, but you used it very well and it all sounds nice.

Qwertyuiopasd responds:

Well... Thank you! :D can't say much more than that.

~Qwerty

Wow.

That was awesome. Thank you.

Spoony18 responds:

Your welcome ;)

I'm Alex, but the interweb knows me as SysRq. I make music. Be kind to me, I'm learning. I like my music (to some extent) and I probably like yours too. I play the guitar, bass, piano, tuba, drums, and I sing. Well. =/
